Brand is all about stickiness. Simplicity. Differentiation. The best brands are memorable and can help us stand out when times are tough.
In this workshop we learned that having a clear personal brand is not only important in attaining one’s desired job, but is also crucial for marketing ourselves within the organization for which we work so we can progress and develop our careers in the desired direction.

Michael Melcher, Partner, Next Step Partners, New York
Michael focuses on career transition, leadership development and communications effectiveness. He has particular expertise in working in international environments and is an instrumental part of Next Step Partners international expansion. Michael has a background in business, law and government and is also an accomplished writer. Recent projects include preparing the founder of a major U.S. corporation for an upcoming media tour; working with a professional services firm to develop a retention and leadership development strategy; and creating a communications document for New York City's leading school-reform organization that was distributed to 370,000 households. Michael holds a JD/MBA from Stanford University and a BA, magna cum laude, from Harvard College. Michael's professional coaching certification is from The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, California.

Kimberly Togman, Senior Consultant Next Step Partners, Philadelphia
Kimberly focuses on individual, team and organizational development. Her clients include emerging leaders and professionals seeking to define, hone and achieve career and organizational goals. Kimberly's experience spans more than 15 years in human resources and consulting positions in a variety of industries. In her tenure as Vice President of Human Resources for Managers Investment Group, she advised executives, managers and employees on all aspects of their working lives while also overseeing all HR functions of the firm, including strategy, recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and training and development. She is currently writing a book about the careers and lives of women 10 to 15 years out of the top MBA programs. Kimberly holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Her coaching certification is from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. She is a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type IndicatorTM (MBTITM) and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
