What’s next for you? What can you do to create the career you want? What techniques can you use to promote both personal satisfaction and career growth in the years to come?
Positive career growth – progress that is both meaningful to you and relevant to your business – results from a combination of internal and external factors. A meaningful career is based on a vision that excites you, on values that represent who you are, and on a personal brand that is personally compelling. A meaningful career is also based on your ability to build relationships, to market your talents to stakeholders, and to continually build your skill set. And the more you take ownership of your own career progress – what we will call “career stewardship” – the more likely others will be to help you achieve those goals.
In this interactive workshop executive coach Kimberly Togman provided a framework for understanding how to apply the concepts of career stewardship and personal branding to one's own career. We examined interrelated topics like competency growth, networks, personal vision and branding, with the goal of providing you a strong foundation for future career growth and insights into a useful career-development framework.
